Cutting Technique

Select the Cutting Technique (or milling mode) to be used in the 2.5 Axes > Profile Open Contour, Profile Closed Contour and Slotting procedures.

Standard /
Slotting

The cutter moves in a normal path along the contour.

In the Profile Open Contour and Profile Closed Contour procedures, this parameter is called Standard.
In the Slotting procedure, the parameter is called Slotting.

Trochoidal

The cutter moves in a helical path along the contour.
